Routine Appointments

We have experienced an unprecedented demand for urgent, on the day demand over the last few months combined with a high level of short term clinician sickness. This has led to us needing to cancel a huge number of routine clinics, pushing back the wait for a routine appointment past the 3-4 weeks mark.

Telephone line issues

We have been experiences technical issues with out telephone lines this afternoon. Our telephone provider is currently investigating. In the mean time our call back feature has been disabled. Prescribing for fear of flying

Due to a medical safety alert from Aviation trained doctors; we have taken the decision to no longer prescribe sedating drugs such as Diazepam, which is sometimes used to treat fear of flying, and medications such as Zopiclone, which is used as a sleeping tablet.

On Wednesday 5th July there is a York-wide training event for all GP clinical staff. The practice will close at midday and reopen as normal at 8am on the Thursday morning.

Short term change of opening hours over the summer

Due to front of house staffing issues, Cherry Street will remain closed on a Wednesday until further notice. It will be open 8.30 til 5pm on Mondays. Park View will also be closed on a Fridays from 12pm until the end of August (apart from 30.6.23).
