As we head in to the summer months, it’s a useful time to highlight that we cannot help with medical issues if you are on holiday abroad. Remember to pack sun cream and a good first aid kit when travelling. Pharmacies in Europe can often help with minor illness such as ear ache or insect bites. In the event that you need medical assistance while on holiday, you should seek a local service and inform your insurance company as appropriate. We recommend you have adequate travel insurance. If you are travelling to a country in the Europe Economic Area (EEA), you can apply for a free UK Global Health Insurance Card (EHIC) which may give you access to free or reduced cost medical treatment. GP Earnings
All GP practices are required to declare the mean earnings (e.g. average pay) for GPs working to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice.
The average pay for GPs working in Priory Medical Group in the last financial year [2023/24] was £61,810 before tax and National Insurance. This is for 16 full time GPs and 30 part time GPs and locums who worked in the practice for more than six months.
