We have some sickness related absence in the Patient Care Navigator (Reception) team. In order to safely staff our sites we have closed Park View surgery this afternoon (Tuesday) and Friday afternoon.
Patients can use the nearby Tang Hall Lane surgery which is 0.4 miles away.
We are been asked to sign an increasing number of City of York Council Council Tax exemption forms. It is important patients are aware that only patients with severe and permanent mental illness or memory impairment are eligible for exemption.
When we are asked to complete the form, we will either agree with the statement that the patient is eligible, or we can sign to say we do not agree following a review of the medical records.

As we head in to the summer months, it’s a useful time to highlight that we cannot help with medical issues if you are on holiday abroad. Remember to pack sun cream and a good first aid kit when travelling.
Pharmacies in Europe can often help with minor illness such as ear ache or insect bites. In the event that you need medical assistance while on holiday, you should seek a local service and inform your insurance company as appropriate.
We recommend you have adequate travel insurance. If you are travelling to a country in the Europe Economic Area (EEA), you can apply for a free UK Global Health Insurance Card (EHIC) which may give you access to free or reduced cost medical treatment.
