Ensuring You Have the Right Car Insurance
Everyone who travels to work needs car insurance that covers 'personal and commuting to work' cover. For those who regularly travel between any of our sites or to another location (such as Askham Bar) to undertake work, then they must have business car insurance cover in addition to this.
If this is not in place and you have an accident or are involved in an incident whilst driving, your car insurance would be void, resulting in no financial or legal support. This is your personal responsibility to ensure you have the correct cover and can be organised with a call or through your insurance companies’ app. We suggest not waiting until your policy renews.
The cost incurred for amending your policy is usually low and PMG will reimburse this if you send your confirmation to PMG-PAYROLL.
Any queries or issues please contact the HR team.
If you already have this cover but have not shared an updated insurance policy certificate with HR, then please email them with a copy of your certificate.

Electric Vehicle (EV) Scheme
PMG are please to announce that our new Electric Vehicle Salary Sacrifice Scheme launches on the 1st of April 2025.
What is an Electric Vehicle 'EV' salary sacrifice scheme?
Simply put, you exchange some of your gross (before tax and NI) salary to drive a brand-new electric car provided by your employer. The amount of money you sacrifice depends on your choice of vehicle, milage, and length of contract. At the end of the contract, your vehicle is returned and no further salary is sacrificed.
More answers to your questions can be found in this FAQ document, click to download.
Any staff who are interested in joining the scheme, or who wish to find out more, should email Access HR.
Breakdown Cover
Staff have the opportunity to purchase breakdown cover for their vehicles through Priory Medical Group. This is offered annually at the point of renewal, which for 2025 is in July. The cover level typically includes home start, roadside and relay and at the moment is provided by the RAC.
Anybody that wishes to renew or join this scheme should keep an eye on their emails, as we will send out reminders and quotes closer to the renewal date.
