Where can you get a blood test?
In York we have a wide variety of places where you can have your blood taken. York Hospital provides two locations where you can drop in at your convenience and also early mornings on weekdays, and on Saturday mornings for those working during the week. The Community Diagnostic Centre at Askham Bar also has pre-bookable appointments available.
PMG has slots available during morning clinics each week across a variety of our surgery sites. We try to prioritise these for our frail and vulnerable patients who are unable or struggle to attend the hospital run drop in clinics or the CDC. These are pre-bookable up to 2 weeks in advance. You can get in touch via the prioryCARE form (use the ‘nurse appointment’ tile), come in to speak to a reception team member or call 01904 404100.

Community Stadium
Kathryn Avenue, Monks Cross Drive, Huntington, YO32 9AF, which has free parking up to two hours. The blood taking service at the stadium outpatient department is open to walk-in patients.

Due to the service being a drop-in service, there may be occasions where patients attending after 5.15pm will be asked to return at a later date due to high numbers of patients already waiting.

Provided in partnership with Nimbuscare, the CDC offers a provides a broad range of diagnostics, including bloods, ECGs, scans and tests. To arrange blood test appointment call them on 01904 943690 .
