The next Practice Learning Time (PLT) event is this Tuesday afternoon. All surgeries will close at midday. Nimbuscare will be offering patients urgent advice and help between 12-6pm.
Every year the government and NHS take advice from the JVCI to decide who are the most vulnerable patients and who would most benefit from a flu jab or a covid jab. This means that you might be invited one year, and not the next. We can only invite and vaccinate patients who are in the up to date “at risk” groups.
The UK Health Security Agency have some really useful blogs explaining who is eligible for covid and flu jabs. Not everyone who is able to have a free NHS flu jab, can access a Covid-19 vaccination.
