This week is #CarersWeek “A carer is someone who provides unpaid care and support to a family member or friend who has a disability, illness, mental health condition, addiction, or who needs extra help as they grow older. It isn’t someone who volunteers or is employed to provide support.” This year the theme is 'Caring About Equality' highlighting the inequalities faced by unpaid carers, including a greater risk of poverty, social isolation, poor mental and physical health. Far too often, carers of all-ages miss out on opportunities in their education, careers, or personal lives, just because of their caring role. Get involved in Carers Week 2025, and together let’s work towards an equal society, where carers are truly valued, recognised and supported. Ahead of the long bank holiday weekend the prioryCARE form turn off at 2pm on Friday 2nd May and Friday 23rd May. If you have an urgent problem between 2-6pm please call us on 01904 404100.
w/c 26th May we have some site closures to ensure safe staffing numbers at sites:
- Tuesday 27th - Victoria Way closed all day
- Wednesday 28th - Lavender Grove and Park View closed for the afternoon
- Thursday 29th - Rawcliffe Surgery and Park View closed for the afternoon
- Friday 30th - Park View closed for the afternoon
