Diarrhoea and vomiting (D&V) is a common illness and usually caused by viral gastroenteritis and sometimes food poisoning. It often takes a few days for symptoms to resolve - the NHS website has some threat advice : ➡️ https://www.nhs.uk/symptoms/diarrhoea-and-vomiting/care/ If you have a pre booked appointment at the surgery (eg for dressing, injection or smear) and are experiencing symptoms of D&V, we ask that you contact us to reschedule to when you are well and symptom free. This helps to reduce the spread of viral gastroenteritis at the practice.
