This week is #CarersWeek “A carer is someone who provides unpaid care and support to a family member or friend who has a disability, illness, mental health condition, addiction, or who needs extra help as they grow older. It isn’t someone who volunteers or is employed to provide support.” This year the theme is 'Caring About Equality' highlighting the inequalities faced by unpaid carers, including a greater risk of poverty, social isolation, poor mental and physical health. Far too often, carers of all-ages miss out on opportunities in their education, careers, or personal lives, just because of their caring role. Get involved in Carers Week 2025, and together let’s work towards an equal society, where carers are truly valued, recognised and supported. About Us
What is Priory Medical Group?
Health. Care. Together.
We are a nine site GP practice and Primary Care Network (PCN) in the city of York, offering a range of NHS clinical services to our patients. The ever-changing landscape of the NHS means that we are constantly evolving and developing our services to the benefit of our local communities. We pride ourselves on being innovative and at the forefront of change. We are an inclusive practice, using some digital-first approaches where appropriate; we want to make healthcare easy to access, convenient and relevant.
We are proud of our multi-disciplinary clinical team and support their development to provide more specialist and holistic care to our patient population. We have highly specialist teams helping patients with long term conditions and have a dedicated Complex Care Team who support the needs of our patients in residential and nursing homes.
The practice also supports undergraduate HYMS medical students and postgraduate clinicians in training. We thank you for supporting the learning and development opportunities this provides.
We also offer private services such as occupational health medicals and work in partnership with Masta to provide vaccinations.
