Repeat prescriptions can be requested by phone, fax, post or in person at any of
our surgeries.
By phone
Our Reception teams give priority to urgent medical calls at the start of each day.
To help us please call after 9:30am with your prescription request.
We are in the process of installing a new phone system at all of our surgeries which will allow you to leave a prescription request 24 hours a day, 7 days per week. At present this service is only available for our Heworth Green and Priory Medical Centre patients but will be available at all surgeries before the end of this year. To use the automated service please phone your surgery and select option 2 when your call is answered.
By fax, or by post
Please use the tear off slip attached to your prescription.
In Person
Most of our surgeries have a “Repeat Prescription” post box inside the front door or in the Reception area. There is usually no need to queue at Reception to drop off your request.
Even continuous medication needs to be reviewed periodically by your Doctor.
You will be advised when ordering your medication if a review is due.
