Our Appointments explained

We basically offer two types of appointments – Routine and Urgent. To ensure you see the most appropriately skilled clinician in a timely manner, our Receptionists may ask for some information on the nature of your problem.

Routine Appointments

Routine appointments can be booked up to two weeks in advance. These doctor and nurse appointments are primarily for non-urgent issues.

Urgent Appointments

Urgent Requests for appointments will undergo telephone assessment and an appointment will be allocated on clinical grounds on the same day if necessary.

Express Clinics

We also offer Express Clinics at most of our surgeries.  Express Clinics offer a shorter consultation of 5 minutes for a single simple problem and the reception team will advise you if this is appropriate. If you anticipate you will need more time than this a routine appointment would be arranged.

Home Visits

If your condition/illness prevents you from attending a consultation at the surgery you can request a home visit.  As with urgent and routine appointments please be prepared to give a brief summary of your problem so that we can offer you the best possible service.
